Nyesom Wike Fines Ganduje, Idiagbon Family, NNPC, Others N5m Each

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, imposed a fine of N5 million each on several individuals and institutions for the unlawful conversion of residential properties for commercial use in Abuja. The affected individuals and organizations, including Abdullahi Ganduje, the family of late General Tunde Idiagbon, and NNPC, were ordered to pay the penalty within 30 days.

The sanction followed a review of land use conditions on major streets in Abuja. Those penalized include former APC National Chairman Ganduje for converting a property into a banking hall without authorization, the Idiagbon family for turning a home into a hotel, and former Osun State Governor Oyinlola for converting land into a hotel.
