Wike Can Lead Tinubu's 2027 Campaign, Says Morka

Felix Morka, the spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC), announced that Nyesom Wike is free to lead Bola Tinubu's campaign for the 2027 presidential election. Morka made this statement during a briefing on Thursday, responding to Wike's declaration of support for Tinubu's second-term bid, despite Wike being a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

Morka emphasized that every Nigerian has the constitutional right to support any candidate of their choice. He also commented on ongoing reconciliation efforts within the PDP, mentioning that the party is not focused on the internal developments of the opposition.

The PDP's 106th National Executive Committee meeting, led by Moham Abdurahman, indicated Wike's willingness to reconcile with the faction led by Tanimu Turaki, who confirmed a fresh reconciliation process aimed at resolving the party's internal crises. Morka concluded by stating that the APC's priority remains strengthening its structure in preparation for upcoming elections.
