Wike-Led PDP Rejects Support for Tinubu in 2027 Elections

The faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) led by Nyesom Wike has publicly dismissed any claims of supporting Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 presidential elections. In a statement made on Monday, Jungudo Moham, speaking on behalf of the faction, clarified that the party remains focused on presenting its own presidential candidate.

This announcement comes amidst growing speculation regarding potential alliances ahead of the next electoral cycle. Moham emphasized that the PDP will not support the All Progressives Congress (APC) or Tinubu, stating that the party will conduct its primaries and urged members to remain patient as they prepare for this process.

He also reassured that the party's structure is intact despite internal disagreements, asserting that the PDP remains one of the strongest political platforms in the country. The statement aims to counter rumors and propaganda intended to discredit both the PDP and Wike.
