Wike's Coalition Expands Tinubu's Support for 2027

Chibudom Nwuche, the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the South-South Development Commission, commended Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, for his political acumen. Nwuche stated that Wike's initiation of the Rainbow Coalition has significantly broadened President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's support base in preparation for the 2027 presidential election.

He described the coalition as a "political masterstroke" that facilitates support for Tinubu from individuals and groups within opposition parties without requiring them to abandon their political affiliations. Nwuche refuted claims that the coalition would weaken Tinubu's electoral prospects, asserting that it strengthens them by adding more constituencies and stakeholders.

He also addressed concerns regarding confusion in Rivers State, stating that there is clarity about the coalition's consensus governorship candidate and emphasized the coalition's commitment to ensuring a strong voter turnout for Tinubu and the coalition's candidates in the upcoming elections.
