Wike Inspects Abuja Projects, Criticizes Bauchi Governor

On Wednesday, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, inspected ongoing road construction projects in Abuja, including the Airport Road and Kuje Junction interchange, promising their completion by May 2026, coinciding with the third anniversary of President Bola Tinubu's administration. During his visit, Wike addressed recent claims made by Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed regarding a crisis within the People's Democratic Party (PDP), labeling them as embarrassing and inconsistent.

Wike accused Mohammed of previously attempting to negotiate support for Atiku Abubakar and of trying to manipulate the party's processes for personal gain. He emphasized that the PDP remains alive despite ongoing legal challenges and reaffirmed his loyalty to the party, stating he would continue to support President Tinubu.

Wike also criticized Mohammed's request for the party's national secretary position, asserting that it was an attempt to weaken the PDP.
