Wike Inspects Abuja Projects, Dismisses PDP Faction Claims

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), addressed journalists on Wednesday during an inspection of ongoing infrastructure projects in Abuja, dismissing claims of division within the People's Democratic Party (PDP). Wike insisted that the party remains united despite internal disagreements, stating that individual grievances do not equate to factionalism.

He highlighted ongoing reconciliation efforts alongside preparations for the PDP's national convention. During the inspection, Wike reiterated the FCT administration's commitment to strict monitoring of projects to ensure quality and timely delivery.

He disclosed that a bridge project near the Fire Service Headquarters in Abuja is nearing completion, with the contractor assuring delivery within five months. Wike also confirmed the completion of a road project handled by Julius Berger, expected to be inaugurated during President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's third anniversary.

He expressed satisfaction with the completion of a staff bungalow and praised the progress of a female hostel project while noting concerns regarding delays in the male hostel.
