Fayose Declares Wike PDP National Leader at Convention

During the People's Democratic Party (PDP) national convention held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Ayodele Fayose, the former Governor of Ekiti State, proclaimed Nyesom Wike as the national leader of the PDP. Fayose highlighted Wike's significant contributions to the party and reaffirmed the commitment of the Ekiti delegation to the PDP's unity.

He stressed that the court's ruling remains binding on all party members. Additionally, Fayose commented on the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), suggesting that Peter Obi's candidacy is a challenge for the party, as he is a notable political figure and former two-term Governor of Anambra State.

Fayose pointed out that Obi's presence could significantly influence electoral outcomes, indicating that the ADC may struggle without sufficient support in the upcoming elections.
