Wike Criticizes Arrest of FCTA Officials Over Demolition of Police Duplexes

Governor Nyesom Wike expressed disappointment over the arrest of FCTA officials who demolished police duplexes in Abuja's Apo Duts District. The officials were accused of disregarding the law meant to uphold governance standards.

The FCTA officials allegedly ignored warnings about building near high tension lines and proceeded with construction without approval. Director of Development Control, Muktar Galadima, provided details on the situation, stating that the plot allocated to the police in 2018 was being developed without proper authorization.

Wike emphasized the need for governance to enforce rules and not condone lawlessness, regardless of the parties involved.
