Wike: PDP Will Discipline Erring Members – South-South Chairman

The South-South Chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Ogidi, stated in an interview on Channels Television's Morning Brief that the party will discipline erring members. He dismissed claims that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) influenced the recent zoning of the PDP presidential ticket in the South.

Ogidi accused the APC of attempting to destabilize the South but insisted that their efforts failed. When asked about Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike openly endorsing President Bola Tinubu, Ogidi said that the PDP would continue engaging with aggrieved members and would not tolerate deliberate sabotage.

He emphasized the party's focus on rebuilding public confidence after a year of internal crisis, including leadership tussles and disputes over the office of the national secretary.
