Wike Closes Secretariat of Dissolved FG Houses Committee

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has directed the immediate closure of the secretariat of the dissolved Ad-hoc Committee on Sales of Federal Government Houses in the Federal Capital Territory. This directive was communicated through a statement issued on Wednesday by Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant to the Minister on Public Communications and Social Media.

The statement indicated that Wike has also approved the establishment of a division within the Department of Land Administration to manage matters concerning the sales of Federal Government Houses in the FCT, taking over responsibilities from the now-defunct committee. The secretariat was initially retained to address issues arising from the committee's activities after it completed its assignments.

With the closure of the secretariat, the public is advised to approach the Department of Land Administration for all inquiries related to the sale of Federal Government Houses. Additionally, the FCT Administration cautioned the public against fraudsters impersonating staff or members of the dissolved committee.
