Adedoyin Critiques APC Resource Misuse in Kwara Politics

Alhaji Raheem Adedoyin, a media practitioner-turned-politician, criticized the use of All Progressives Congress (APC) resources to undermine the party in Kwara State. In an interview with Vanguard, he responded to the reported disagreement between Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike.

Adedoyin noted a troubling trend in Kwara where politicians elected through the APC later defected to other parties, particularly the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), after benefiting from the APC's political structure. He recalled that in 2019, several key political figures, including a Senate President and a governor, were elected under the APC but later abandoned the party.

Adedoyin expressed concern that Wike's plans to strengthen a coalition in Kwara could further weaken the APC ahead of the 2027 elections, stating that it is APC resources being used against the party. He argued that anyone who contested under the APC should relinquish their offices if they switch parties.
