APC Must Address Internal Grievances Before 2027 Elections

Titilope Anifowoshe, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, cautioned the party against misinterpreting the recent defections to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a sign of total collapse. In an interview, she highlighted that the political landscape in Kwara is complex, with several lawmakers and party members defecting, including from the governor's political ward and Offa.

Anifowoshe stressed the importance of addressing internal grievances seriously before the 2027 general elections, stating that not all defectors take their voters with them. She commented on the public accusations made by FCT Minister Wike against Kwara Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, describing the situation as "politically fascinating." Anifowoshe noted that Wike's claims should be treated separately from established facts.

She urged the APC to reconcile, reorganize, and listen to its members, warning against underestimating the electorate and confusing political structures with genuine support. Anifowoshe asserted that Kwara belongs to its people, not to any political dynasty or faction.
