Wike Praises Tinubu's Leadership and Infrastructure Vision

During the 36th convocation ceremony at the University of Port Harcourt, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, praised President Bola Tinubu's leadership, vision, and political will, claiming they are transforming Nigeria. Wike cited ongoing infrastructure projects as evidence of Tinubu's commitment to addressing the country's infrastructural deficit.

He highlighted major initiatives such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway, and the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Road. Wike noted that Tinubu's administration is injecting urgency into previously isolated projects, integrating them into a broader national development framework.

He also commended efforts in the power sector, including partnerships with Siemens for rural electrification and the implementation of a mass meter scheme. Wike described the removal of fuel subsidies as one of the boldest decisions made by the Tinubu administration, arguing that such policies create additional fiscal space for investment in infrastructure.

He warned that Nigeria's development aspirations could remain unfulfilled without sustained investment in critical sectors.
