Olayinka Defends Wike Against ADC Chieftain's Criticism

Lere Olayinka, the spokesman for Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, responded to remarks made by Ibrahim Modibbo, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Modibbo criticized Wike's press conferences as having "nuisance value" and suggested that Wike should remain indoors during the 2027 general elections to avoid harassing voters.

Wike served as the Executive Chairman of the Obio Akpor Local Government Area in Rivers State from 1999 to 2007 and was the governor of Rivers State from May 29, 2015, to May 29, 2023. In his response, Olayinka argued that Wike's "nuisance value" was instrumental in his political achievements, including his two terms as governor and his prediction regarding Atiku's failure in the 2023 elections.

Olayinka contrasted Wike's political success with Modibbo's lack of similar achievements, emphasizing the effectiveness of Wike's approach.
