QShelter Limited Hosts Inaugural Fitness Event in Lagos

On April 25, 2004, QShelter Limited hosted its first fitness event along the Lagos coastal road, which included a marathon segment with distances of 5 kilometers and 22 kilometers. The winners of the marathon were Fadekemi Erinl, Jame Gyang, and Sundai Aminat Alabi, who received cash prizes across four categories.

The event was organized in partnership with Fit Religion Company and featured activities such as a mini-marathon, fun races, aerobics, and football matches, attracting participants from across the country. Kola Sowand, Chairman of QShelter Limited, stated that the event was designed to raise awareness about the housing deficit in Nigeria and contribute to the 2004 estate project.

Chief Operating Officer Gbenga Alamu emphasized the importance of community engagement and promoting fitness culture. Nollywood actor Tobi Bakr participated and praised the initiative for bringing people together through fitness.

The event is intended to be an annual occurrence.
