Everlast Foundation to Build 500-Capacity Shelter in Ogun

The Everlast Fountain Welfare Foundation, founded by Abiola Adeniyi, is set to tackle homelessness in Ogun State by constructing a 500-capacity shelter. The announcement was made during a groundbreaking ceremony held in Obaf Town on a Saturday.

The shelter will be situated on seven acres of land and is expected to house a training center where beneficiaries can acquire various skills. Adeniyi, inspired by her childhood experiences, highlighted the increasing number of Nigerians facing homelessness and the need for rehabilitation centers to help individuals rediscover their purpose.

The foundation aims to support vulnerable individuals through programs like the Youth Against Idle Program initiated in 2021, which provides accommodation and educational support. Additionally, the project includes establishing a farm institute to serve as a training hub in agriculture and livestock.

Adeniyi called for support from federal and state governments and non-governmental organizations to uplift vulnerable community members. Victor Adeniyi, a patron of the foundation, described the project as a dream realized through collective effort and divine support.
