He acknowledged the challenging conditions faced by nurses, including physical and mental stress, high patient-to-nurse ratios, inadequate equipment, and poor working environments. Despite these challenges, he commended nurses for their resilience and urged them not to relent in their service to humanity.

Obi also noted that Nigerian nurses have distinguished themselves globally, contributing positively to the healthcare system abroad. He reaffirmed his commitment to building a new Nigeria and emphasized the importance of investing in education and training to develop a competitive workforce that strengthens the local health sector.
