FG Promises Improved Welfare for Women on Workers' Day

On Workers' Day, the Federal Government of Nigeria, through Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, reaffirmed its commitment to improving the welfare of women and workers. During the event held in Abuja, the minister praised the resilience and dedication of workers, emphasizing that staff welfare is a fundamental priority rather than a peripheral concern.

She noted that the 2026 Workers' Day aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to prioritize people and promote shared prosperity. Ibrahim highlighted ongoing reforms and social impact interventions, including the implementation of the RHSII program across all 774 local government areas, designed to expand empowerment opportunities and deepen community engagement.

She stressed that improving work conditions and building capacity remain key priorities for the ministry, aiming for a significant positive impact on the nation.
