Anambra First Lady Celebrates Workers' Day Commitment

On Workers' Day, Nony Soludo, the First Lady of Anambra State, issued a statement highlighting the critical role of labor in building a great society. She described workers across various sectors, including agriculture and technology, as central to the nation's economic growth and development.

In her message, she reaffirmed the commitment of the Anambra State government to ensure that workers are protected, respected, and rewarded. Soludo, who is also the founder of a non-governmental organization focused on healthy living, referred to workers as "the truest heroes" and urged relevant authorities to deeply reflect on the welfare conditions of service workers.

She emphasized that every worker contributes significantly to society, stating that their sacrifices deserve honor not just on Workers' Day but every day. As the month of May begins, she called for renewed commitment from the government to support its citizens and ensure their dignity in the workplace.
