World Bank and Kwara State Revitalize 83 Primary Healthcare Centers in Health Sector Transformation

The World Bank and Kwara State government have jointly funded the revitalization of 83 primary healthcare centers in Kwara State, under the Impact Project Fund. Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq highlighted the importance of bridging the healthcare divide between urban and rural areas.

The project aims to upgrade facilities to provide essential healthcare services, including antenatal care, immunizations, reproductive health services, and care for chronic conditions. Professor Nusirat Elelu of the State Primary Healthcare Development Agency confirmed the upgrade of the facilities to Level Two standard, including labor rooms, immunization units, and reliable cold chain systems.
