Lineker Names Argentina and Spain as France's Rivals

Gary Lineker, the former England football icon, has identified Argentina and Spain as potential challengers to France for the 2026 World Cup trophy. France, under coach Didier Deschamps, has advanced to the last 16 after a commanding 3-0 victory against Sweden.

The French team, which triumphed in the 2018 World Cup and finished as runners-up four years later, has scored ten goals in the group stage. Lineker considers the French team to be a standout in the tournament, but believes that Argentina, led by their capable squad, could halt their progress.
