Vozinha Joins Colo Colo After Stellar World Cup Performance

Josimar Dias, popularly known as Vozinha, has signed with Chilean football giants Colo Colo after his standout performances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The 40-year-old goalkeeper became a breakout star during the tournament, notably holding eventual champions Spain to a goalless draw and pushing defending champions Argentina into extra time.

Although the transfer is not yet formally completed, Colo Colo teased the signing on social media, welcoming Vozinha to the Monumental Stadium. Aníbal Mosa, president of Blanco y Negro, confirmed that Vozinha would travel to Chile soon to undergo medical examinations and be officially presented at the Estadio Monumental.

Mosa noted that Vozinha's World Cup performances contributed to the move and would enhance the club's commercial appeal. Vozinha, who previously played for Portuguese second-tier side Chaves, was voted into FIFA’s fan-selected World Cup Dream Team and saw his social media following surge from under 50,000 to nearly 29 million during the tournament.
