FIFA Introduces Championship Rings for 2026 World Cup Winners

FIFA announced on Thursday that the winners of the 2026 World Cup will receive bespoke championship rings, a historic first for the tournament. This initiative is part of FIFA's effort to recognize American sports traditions within the global football context.

In addition to the iconic trophy and gold medals, the championship rings will be produced in a limited edition of 2,026 pieces, with 30 rings reserved for the winning team. The rings will feature the FIFA World Cup trophy and will be customized to reflect the identity of the winning team.

Each ring will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The captain and head coach of the winning team will receive temporary rings immediately after the final on Sunday, with the 30 championship rings later customized for a perfect fit for the recipients.

This announcement comes ahead of the final match between Spain and Argentina at the New York/New Jersey stadium.
