Soccer Legends Unite Against Cancer in Charity Match

World soccer legends are set to partner with CMD Clinic and Clinix Healthcare in a campaign against cancer through a charity football match. Jacob Onu announced this initiative during a courtesy call with Pastor Eber Peter Nwosu on Thursday in Lagos.

The charity match is scheduled to take place later this year at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja. This event will be a collaboration involving the Federal Ministry of Health, the National Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment (NICRAD), the National Sports Commission (NSC), and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The goal of the event is to raise funds to combat the cancer epidemic affecting society. Onu emphasized the importance of football as a tool for fundraising and highlighted the commitment of soccer legends, including Abedi Pele, Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto'o, Zinedine Zidane, Austin "Jay-Jay" Okocha, Daniel Amokachi, and Kanu Nwankwo, to support this cause.

Pastor Eber Nwosu assured total support for the initiative, calling for a united effort to tackle cancer in Nigeria.
