NUJ Akwa Ibom State Council Pledges Collaboration with Education Sector to Enhance Professional Mentorship

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Akwa Ibom State Council has pledged to enhance collaboration with the education sector to support continuous learning and professional mentorship. In celebration of World Teachers Day on October 5, the NUJ acknowledged the vital role of teachers in society and emphasized the importance of mentorship and shared learning between the academia and newsroom.

The theme for the year, "Recasting Teaching: A Collaborative Profession," highlights the common mission of both teaching and journalism in enlightening minds and strengthening democracy. The NUJ also recognized and celebrated teachers within the journalism profession for their contributions to shaping society.
