NUT Chairman Warns of Uncertain Education Future in Kwara State

Yusuf Agboola, Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) in Kwara state, expressed concerns about the future of education if teachers are not motivated. Speaking at a World Teachers Day celebration in Ilorin, Agboola highlighted the importance of addressing welfare issues affecting public school teachers to ensure a sustainable education system.

He commended the state government for salary payments and teacher recruitment but emphasized the need for improved welfare, including the implementation of Teachers Specific Allowance and rural allowances. Agboola stressed that motivated and supported teachers are crucial for delivering quality education.
