Nigerian footballer Yakubu Aiyegbeni expressed pride in being Nigeria's top scorer in the English Premier League with 95 goals in 252 appearances. Aiyegbeni, who played for clubs like Portsmouth, Middlesbrough, Everton, and Blackburn Rovers, considers this achievement a significant honor in his career.

Despite leaving the league in 2012, he remains fifth among Africa's Premier League scorers. Aiyegbeni reflected on his journey from Benin City to the Premier League and highlighted his consistency in front of goal.

He acknowledged Leicester City's Kelechi Iheanacho as the closest contender with 42 goals.
