APC's Yayi Promises Accountability to Ogun Journalists

Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, called on journalists to hold him accountable to his manifesto if elected in the 2027 election. During an interaction with members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) at their secretariat in Abeokuta, Adeola emphasized that the progress of Ogun State is a collective responsibility.

He stated that his manifesto should serve as a benchmark for assessing his administration, detailing a commitment to transparency and measurable targets. Adeola assured that his administration would comply with the Freedom of Information Act and treat the Ogun NUJ as a governance partner.

He also discussed plans to enhance the state's internally generated revenue and improve local government autonomy. Adeola expressed his commitment to ensuring that government programs are monitored and reported on objectively, urging journalists to play their watchdog role effectively.
