Yobe Lawmaker Muham Jajer Joins APC from PDP

On Tuesday, during a plenary session, Speaker Tajudeen Abba announced that Muham Jajer, a member of the House of Representatives representing Fika/Funakaye Federal Constituency in Yobe State, has officially defected from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Jajer attributed his decision to ongoing problems within the PDP, which he described as a crisis that made it difficult for him to continue on the party's platform.

He expressed that the APC presents a better option for him to effectively serve the people. This move is part of a broader trend, as political activity intensifies ahead of the 2027 general elections, with several lawmakers from different states also defecting to various parties, including the New Nigeria Peoples Party and the African Democratic Congress.
