Yobe State Constructs 9 Modern Markets to Boost Business and Revenue

Yobe State government has built nine modern markets across the state to enhance business activities and increase internal revenue generation. The markets, consisting of five ultra-modern and four modern markets, are located in different local government areas.

The initiative aims to strengthen the state's revenue base, improve livelihoods, and promote cross-border business activities, considering Yobe's historical trade relations with Chad, Cameroon, and Niger Republic. The state government is focused on reducing dependency on federal allocations and boosting international revenue through market standardization.
