Yobe State Upgrades Facilities for Hunter Groups

The Yobe State Government, under the leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni, has initiated a project to renovate and upgrade facilities for hunter groups in Damaturu, which had been neglected for over a decade. This project was approved to enhance the operational capacity of these vigilant groups, which work alongside conventional security agencies to protect lives and property.

During an inspection of the facilities on Friday, Brigadier General Dahiru Abdulsalam (Retd), the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, emphasized the necessity of providing decent accommodation for personnel. The newly refurbished facilities will include three buildings with a total of thirteen rooms and a modern conference hall that can accommodate 30 people.

Abdulsalam reiterated the state government's commitment to supporting the families of security personnel who have lost their lives in the line of duty and highlighted the importance of a coordinated approach between vigilant groups and military security agencies to combat crime effectively.
