Yobe Commissioner Urges Journalists to Embrace Technology for Nation-Building

Yobe State Commissioner for Information, Home Affairs, and Culture, Abdullahi Bego, urged journalists at the Borno State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) conference to embrace technology for nation-building. Bego highlighted the evolution of journalism over the past two decades, emphasizing the need for continuous learning and responsible use of digital tools.

He stressed the importance of integrity, diligence, and community in journalism, encouraging practitioners to go beyond routine workshops and embrace everyday lessons to enhance their capacity. Bego emphasized the role of technology in bringing people together and the risks of its misuse in communication.
