Zadok Yohanna Joins Brighton with Record Transfer Deal

Zadok Yohanna has officially resumed training with Brighton & Hove Albion following his record-breaking transfer from the Swedish club AIK Fotboll. The 18-year-old winger completed the move for a total fee of £28 million, which includes £24 million plus £2 million in add-ons, making him the most expensive player ever transferred from the Swedish league, surpassing the previous record held by Luca Bergvall.

Yohanna, who left the Ikon Allah Football Academy in Kaduna just a year ago, quickly established himself at AIK, scoring five goals and providing four assists in 18 senior appearances across Allsvenskan and the Svenska Cupen. Brighton's head coach, Fabian Hurzel, expressed confidence in Yohanna's potential impact in the Premier League but emphasized the need for patience as the young player adjusts to a new league and country.

Yohanna has signed a five-year contract that will run until June 2031 and is expected to fully integrate with his new teammates when preseason training begins next month.
