Zadok Yohanna Joins Brighton for Pre-Season Training

Zadok Yohanna, a 19-year-old winger, is preparing to join Brighton & Hove Albion's first team squad for pre-season training beginning July 15. The Premier League club has decided to send the teenager on loan for the upcoming campaign.

Yohanna completed a record-breaking transfer from the Swedish club AIK, which cost Brighton £30 million. He is set to undergo personal training sessions, including workouts alongside Brighton veteran Danni Welbeck.

Yohanna, who joined AIK from the Allah Football Academy in Kaduna, signed a five-year contract with Brighton, celebrating his 19th birthday at the club's training facility last month with a surprise cake during a gym session. He is determined to make his family proud as he embarks on this journey in England.

Yohanna has been recognized as one of Nigeria's brightest young prospects, reportedly catching the attention of Super Eagles head coach Eric Chell, although he was unable to report for international duty due to a minor injury during the ongoing transfer process. His top-flight debut is scheduled for Sunday, August 23, when Brighton hosts Aston Villa at the Amex Stadium.
