Osun State Government Criticizes Wale Edun Over Local Government Funds Dispute

The Adeleke government in Osun State has criticized Wale Edun over the alleged mishandling of local government funds, calling it a mockery of Tinubu. In a letter dated September 24, 2025, signed by state counsel Musibau Adetunbi SAN, the government expressed concern over Edun's move to disburse funds despite a pending Supreme Court case.

The letter emphasized the need to uphold the rule of law and stated that the funds belong to the people of Osun. The state urged the minister to ensure Osun receives its monthly allocation through the Government Joint Account.

Additionally, the government warned against releasing funds to sacked officials, citing a breach of the rule of law.
