Makinde Responds to Fayose's Kidnapping Claims

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has strongly criticized former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose for his remarks regarding the recent kidnapping of a pupil and teacher in Oyo State. Makinde described Fayose's comments as reckless and harmful, particularly at a time when security agencies are working to secure the release of the victims.

Dotun Oyelade, the state's commission, expressed surprise at Fayose's accusations, suggesting they were politically motivated and undermined ongoing security efforts. Makinde stated that Fayose's conduct reflects a troubling level of hostility and bitterness, further endangering the lives of the captives.

He urged residents to remain calm and support the security agencies in their delicate operations. The exchange follows Fayose's criticisms during a Channel Television interview, where he suggested that the kidnapping incidents were politically motivated and aimed at embarrassing President Bola Tinubu.
