Southwest PDP Criticizes Fayose Over Abduction Claims

The Southwest PDP condemned former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose for his allegations against Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde regarding a recent bandit attack in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State. Fayose suggested that the abduction of a pupil and teacher was orchestrated by the state government to embarrass President Bola Tinubu.

In response, PDP's Southwest Public Secretary, Chief Sanya Atofari, described Fayose's statements as reckless and politically dangerous, accusing him of hypocrisy for not addressing security issues in his home state of Ekiti, where 16 worshippers were recently abducted. Atofari emphasized that insecurity should not be weaponized for political advantage and commended Governor Makinde for his commitment to the security and welfare of the people.

He criticized Fayose for campaigning for the APC while claiming to be a PDP leader, highlighting the contradictions in his political stance.
