Fayose Blames Makinde for Oyo School Abduction Crisis

Ayodele Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State, has publicly blamed Seyi Makinde, the current governor of Oyo State, for the recent insecurity issues in the state, particularly following the abduction of schoolchildren and a teacher. In an interview with Polit Nigeria, Fayose stated that Makinde has not taken sufficient steps to prevent security breaches and described the governor's actions as not proactive enough.

He emphasized that the responsibility for managing security in Oyo State lies with the governor, who should mobilize police and other resources to address the challenges. The abduction incident involved bandits attacking a school in Oyo State, resulting in the kidnapping of several pupils and a teacher, with reports indicating that the teacher was later killed by the assailants.
