Onanuga Criticizes Rufai Oseni Over Election Claims

Bayo Onanuga, a special adviser to President Bola Tinubu, publicly condemned broadcast journalist Rufai Oseni for his comments related to the recent area council elections in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Onanuga accused Oseni of disseminating falsehoods and fostering a narrative driven by hatred against the ruling party.

He emphasized that Oseni's statements misrepresented the electoral results, particularly regarding the total votes recorded for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in various polling units. Onanuga asserted that Oseni's actions were unbecoming of a journalist and suggested that Oseni should feel shame for his conduct.

He defended the integrity of the election results and reiterated that the power bestowed upon the presidency is divinely ordained.
