Your ‘So-called President’ Remark Disgraceful – Presidency Hits Babachir, Reveals Tinubu’s ‘Offence’

The Presidency has condemned former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, for calling President Bola Tinubu a "so-called President." Lawal made the remark in a recent interview on Channels Television, where he suggested that Tinubu's victory in the 2023 presidential election was orchestrated. In response, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare, labeled Lawal's claim as a "shocking barefaced lie." Dare emphasized that Tinubu's election was fair and square, and he remains the duly elected President of Nigeria until 2027.

Additionally, Dare refuted Lawal's allegations that Tinubu's policies were detrimental to the Nigerian economy, stating that there was no valid reason for the President to have offended Babachir.
