Davido Calls Iyabo Ojo's Partner Paulo "Broke" Over Afrobeat Comments

Afrobeat star Davido has publicly criticized Paulo Okoye, a music promoter and partner of actress Iyabo Ojo, following Paulo's remarks questioning whether Afrobeat is "dead or in coma" due to high fees charged by top Nigerian artists. In response, Bankulli, a Nigerian Grammy-nominated singer and music executive, suggested that Paulo's comments were motivated by his inability to afford these artists.

Davido supported this claim by tagging Paulo in a comment, calling him “broke” and stating, “PAUL O AKA PAUL BROKE.” This incident comes nearly two years after Paulo defended Davido against criticism regarding his statement about Nigeria's economic situation on The Big Homies House podcast. Additionally, Iyabo Ojo confirmed her relationship with Paulo during her 45th birthday celebration in December 2022.
