Yusuf and Ogunjobi Claim DavNotch Tennis Titles

At the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Ifedayo Akindoju reported that Yusuf achieved a dominant performance to win his first DavNotch championship title, overcoming Nigeria's number one ranked player. This victory marked the end of a disappointing year for Yusuf, who had previously lost to the same player.

He expressed that winning was a dream come true, particularly as he admired the player he defeated. In the women's singles final, Ogunjobi successfully retained her title by defeating Etoro Bassei with scores of 3-6, 7-5, 6-1, recovering from a lost opening set to secure her championship victory.

Emmanuel Ochei, the Managing Director of DavNotch, announced an increase in prize money, with the men's singles winner now receiving ₦1 million and the women's singles champion receiving ₦800,000, reflecting DavNotch's commitment to developing tennis in Nigeria.
