Zamfara APC Backs Tinubu, Lawal for 2027 Elections

On Saturday, during a high-level meeting held at the government house in Gusau, stakeholders of the Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) declared their total and unconditional support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Dauda Lawal ahead of the 2027 general elections. The communique issued after the meeting, which included Minister of State for Defence Hon. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, reaffirmed the party's commitment to unity and loyalty to Governor Lawal, who is recognized as the leader of the APC in Zamfara State.

The stakeholders resolved to consolidate internal cohesion, strengthen party structures, and ensure discipline to guarantee stability and coordination within the party. This endorsement comes in the wake of Lawal's recent defection from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, marking a significant political maneuver as the party prepares for the upcoming elections.
