Zamfara State Begins Gratuity Payments for Retirees

The Zamfara State Government has initiated the disbursement of gratuity payments for batch four beneficiaries, which covers the 2024-2025 exercise. This decision was announced in a statement signed by Mahmud Muhammad Dantawasa, the Commissioner for Information and Culture.

The payments are part of the government's renewed efforts to clear outstanding entitlements for retired civil servants. Governor Dauda Lawal emphasized the administration's commitment to prioritizing the welfare of pensioners, ensuring they receive their entitlements promptly.

The government recognizes the sacrifices made by retirees in service to the development of Zamfara State and remains determined to prioritize their well-being. The Office of the Accountant General has been instructed to ensure an efficient and transparent payment process.

Additionally, the government plans to review pension payments to cushion the impact of rising living costs, particularly for those in lower income brackets, reflecting the current economic realities.
