Zamfara Lawmaker Defects from PDP to APC, Blames Governor for Failures

In Zamfara, lawmaker Maharazu Salisu Faru defected from the PDP to the APC, criticizing Governor Dauda Lawal for failing to fulfill campaign promises and address insecurity. Faru accused the governor of neglecting his constituency and favoring PDP members.

The defection ceremony was attended by APC officials and PDP ward chairmen. The move is seen as a blow to the PDP in the state, with Faru aligning himself with former Governor Abdulaziz Yari and Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, who have already joined the APC.
