Zamfara Mine Collapse: 16 Bodies Recovered, Search Continues for Trapped Victims

In Zamfara State, Nigeria, a mining pit collapse in Kadauri village, Maru Local Government Area, resulted in the recovery of 16 bodies with ongoing search efforts for other trapped victims. Witnesses reported scores of miners believed to be underground when the pit caved in.

Rescue operations are still in progress to save those trapped. One survivor, Isa Sani, shared his ordeal and mentioned that around 100 people were inside the pit during the incident.

The exact number of trapped miners remains uncertain, but rescuers are working tirelessly to bring them to safety.
