Zamfara APC Executives Sue Party Over Suspension, Seek Court Intervention

Three executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State, including Babangida Aliyu Shinkafi and Kabiru Ibrahim, have filed a lawsuit against the party over their suspension for attending a stakeholder meeting organized by the Wamban Shinkafi Democrat Front on November 11. The executives, led by Dr.

Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, are seeking a court declaration that their suspension is unconstitutional and void. They allege that the suspension was arbitrary and lacked proper justification.

The plaintiffs are also requesting an injunction to restrain the party from taking further actions against them pending the court's decision. The legal battle reflects the internal turmoil within the Zamfara APC following the 2019 and 2023 governorship election losses.
