Borno Governor Zulum Launches Healthcare Projects in Monguno to Address Manpower Shortage

Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum inaugurated three vital healthcare projects in Monguno, northern Borno, on September 10. The projects include an eye hospital, a dental hospital, and a nursing college aimed at addressing the shortage of healthcare workers, especially in rural areas.

The nursing college will train young individuals in nursing, midwifery, and allied health courses to bridge the manpower gap in the region. The newly opened eye hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic and surgical tools to tackle eye conditions like cataracts and glaucoma.

Similarly, the dental hospital offers a range of services from basic fillings to advanced procedures. This initiative underscores the government's commitment to improving healthcare services in the state.
