Zulum Enhances Borno Healthcare with New Collaborations

On Wednesday, during the opening of the Association of Radiologists of Nigeria (ARIN) 9th Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference in Maiduguri, Borno State Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum pledged to strengthen collaboration with the federal government and development partners to improve healthcare services in the state. He emphasized his administration's commitment to supporting the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) and other federal health institutions within available resources.

Zulum acknowledged the hospital's significant role in saving lives and training medical professionals amid the challenges of insurgency and flooding. He commended the Chief Medical Director of UMTH, Professor Ahmed Ahidjo, for his exemplary leadership and contributions to the institution's growth, noting the progress made in infrastructure development, specialist services, medical training, research, and professional development under his leadership.
