Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the ex-depot price of petrol to ₦1,125 per litre, down from ₦1,175 per litre, following a decline in global crude oil prices. This price adjustment took effect on June 25, 2026.
Oil prices have dropped to pre-war levels, with Brent crude at $73.14 per barrel and WTI at $69.85. Despite this, fuel prices in Nigeria remain high, with petrol sold between N1,200 and N1,300 per liter, prompting concerns over market conditions.
Petrol prices in Nigeria are expected to decrease as Dangote Petroleum Refinery reduces the ex-depot price of petrol from ₦175 to ₦125 per litre. This reduction follows a decrease in global energy prices due to eased geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
